  • Our nomination for the best STEM book​​​​​​​

    Royal Society Young People’s Book Prize celebrates the very best science books for those under 14. They’re all accessible books about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects, excellent for capturing the imagination. 

    The competition itself is unique in that the winner is selected by judging panels made up of young people at schools across the country.

    We couldn’t wait to explore the shortlisted books! A group of our students have read all these superb titles and presented their favourite.

  • Work Experience with Yorkshire Water

    Yorkshire Water have an exciting opportunity for students to take part in a week of work experience.

    It’s during the October break, for the full week. You’ll learn about how they treat water, what exactly leakage is, where pipes are, how they monitor leakage, as well as taking part in practical activities on their leak field.

    It’s the perfect opportunity for anyone who might want to consider an apprenticeship with Yorkshire Water in the future.

    When?

    During half-term!

    25th October – 29th October

    9am – 4:45pm every day

    Where?

    Esholt Waste Water Treatment Works

    It’s near Apperley Bridge, Bradford, BD17 7QU

    Who can apply?

    Students aged 14 – 16

    You’ll need to apply with their application form

    When do I need to apply?

    Get them in before 1st October 2021
