New Skills and Big Smiles for Bankfoot Academy

From the kitchen to the sports hall, our pupils have been shining this week! 🌟
We were delighted to welcome 30 Year 5 pupils from Bankfoot Academy this week for a very special visit. It was a joy to see our local community coming together as the children spent the day exploring what life is like at our school.
The pupils fully immersed themselves in two brand-new challenges. In the kitchen, they got stuck into a "sweet burger" making session. For many, this was their first time using a secondary school Food Tech room. They worked brilliantly, learning how to handle ingredients and follow a recipe to create something fun and unique.
The excitement continued in the sports hall, where the group tried their hand at trampolining. This was a completely new experience for the pupils, and they tackled it with amazing energy. They supported one another as they learned how to balance and move in a whole new way.
The impact of the day was clear: by trying things they had never done before, the children built real confidence. Seeing them dive into these activities so brilliantly shows that with the right support, our young people can master any new skill. We want every child in our community to feel brave enough to try something new, and these Year 5 pupils did exactly that!
