Welcome to our latest newsletter. It is a real joy to share with you all the wonderful things happening within our academy community.


At Co-op Academy Grange, we believe that every one of our children deserves a brilliant education, no matter their background. Our goal is to help your children succeed not just in their lessons, but in life. To do this, we encourage our children to live by four simple values that help us build a kind and successful school.

Royal Society Book Awards – Visit to Cliffe Castle

 

A group of students who have been championing the book ‘Rocks’ visited Cliffe Castle last week and took part in a workshop to learn more about rocks, minerals and dinosaurs. The group faced varied tasks that day from identifying different types of rocks to putting a dinosaur fossil back together in the right order. Cliffe Castle has one of the best rock, mineral and fossil collections in the country.

They also had a chance to visit the remainder of the museum, learn about the history of the building and tour the glass houses to admire the plant and cactus.

 

The students who won the various competitions on World Book day have been awarded prizes of books, pens and notebooks. Well done to all.

Year 8 Parents Evening

We are pleased to invite parents and carers of our Year 8 students to our upcoming Parents’ Evening. This is a vital opportunity to discuss your child’s academic progress, engagement in lessons, and transition into the final term of the year. 

As students move towards the end of Year 8, this evening provides the chance to:

  • Meet with subject teachers for specific feedback

  • Discuss strengths and areas for development across the curriculum

  • Ask questions about upcoming end of year assessments

Event details:

  • Date: Thursday, 30th April 2026 

  • Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Careers Fair

On Thursday the 26th of March, Grange will be holding their annual Careers Fair (10:30-4pm). If any parents would like to attend and participate in having a stall and speaking to students about their job role and sector please email me at ashley.wildman@coopacademies.co.uk

This is a great opportunity toengage students' interests around different types of careers and jobindustries.

Community Fridge

Just a reminder that we will be opening our doors for the food Pantry every Friday 9-11am.

We are closed this Friday due to the Academy being closed for Eid but we will be open every Friday (term times) from next week.

A huge well done to the 30 Year 5 pupils from Bankfoot Academy who visited us! They immersed themselves brilliantly in everything we didfrom making "sweet burgers" in Food Tech to trying trampolining for the very first time! It was fantastic to see them learning brand-new skills and growing in confidence throughout the day.
